Metro Opportunities
Through cross-cultural participation, FBCR supports several inner-city churches, apartment communities and homeless shelters throughout North Texas.
EBENEZER BAPTIST CHURCH
Location: Far East Dallas

Congregation: multi-cultural membership with Anglo, African American, Hispanic and Asian cultures represented.
Volunteers needed:
- Sunday School teachers and helpers for children and youth programming
- FBCR members and friends to help serve breakfast to the homeless and church members one Sunday per month
IGLESIA BAUTISTA EL MESIAS
Location: East Dallas
5100 Belmont Avenue
Dallas, TX 75206
Congregation: Predominantly Hispanic congregation offering Spanish services. Many members are bilingual with the majority of the youth speaking English.
Volunteers needed:
- Children and student teachers and workers (English speakers welcome)
- ESL teachers on Sunday afternoons
- Teachers and helpers for new Bible studies in neighborhood homes and apartments (some Spanish helpful)
EL PUEBLO DE DIOS
Location: East Dallas

Congregation: Offers Spanish & English services
Volunteers needed:
- ESL teachers and assistants to join a team led by an experienced volunteer on Sunday afternoons
- Student leaders for Friday evenings twice a month
Teachers and helpers for new Bible studies in neighborhood homes and apartments (some Spanish helpful)
AUSTIN STREET CENTRE
Location: Southeast Dallas

Volunteers needed: FBCR members join together every fourth Thursday of the month to serve the homeless
CORNERSTONE BAPTIST CHURCH
Location: South Dallas

Cornerstone Baptist Church is located in the inner-city community of South Dallas. For more than 45 years, the church has been committed to touching the lives of residents in its community.
FBCR works with Cornerstone to provide support through a variety of service opportunities.

Homeless Ministry Outreach
FBCR members join Cornerstone volunteers to serve the homeless in downtown Dallas Tuesday and Thursday 12:30 p.m. and Wednesday 6 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., and Sunday 6:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Park Manor
Cornerstone supports Park Manor, a low-income senior citizen apartment community in its neighborhood. Volunteers are needed to send encouragement cards and notes to its residents.

Prison Transition Ministry
Mentors are needed to help these men and women make a successful transition back into society.

Computer Literacy Classes
Volunteers are needed to instruct beginning computer classes to help residents become computer literate.

Cornerstone Crossroads Academy
Volunteers needed to tutor at-risk high school students in reading and math.
