On January 29, 2011 the following team from FBCR left for the Valley Retreat Center in Mission, Texas: George Anderson, Andy Blevins, Bill Davis, James Franklin, Bob Frykholm, Dave Harless, Norris Harp, Gary Kennedy, Martha Kennedy, Jimmie G. Lewis, Richard Moore, Jerry Morris, Carlene Morrow, Charles Reed, Sue Reed, Walter Schuster, John Thompson, Peggy Thompson, Ann Williams, and Bob Williams. We were joined by Curt Strong and DeWayne Dean from Salado, Texas. We completed four playgrounds in four different churches and added four new classrooms to a church in Donna, Texas. We also gave out clothes and shoes at two different churches. This year’s trip presented some challenges. First, on the way to the valley, the church trailer had a blowout, and we did not have a spare tire for it. The other challenge was the weather. It was bitter cold and we were unable to work for one full day. But with God’s help and guidance, we completed our tasks. The church in Donna provided us with several helpers to complete the addition to their church.
