Bill joined the staff of FBCR in August 1990 as associate pastor of spiritual development. In 2005, he moved into his current role of pastor of executive pastor.




Bill graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. He also received a Master of Arts in Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry in Church Administration from Trinity Seminary.

He previously served churches in Little Rock, Ark., Sulphur Springs, Texas, and Benbrook, Texas as associate pastor of education, assistant pastor and minister of education. He is past vice president of the Southern Baptist Religious Education Association. He has been a state and national conference leader in Sunday School Leadership Training, Discipleship Training and Vacation Bible School. He is also a member of the National Association of Church Business Administrators.   




Bill is a native Tennessean having worked at Union Carbide Corporation for 12 years in accounting and budget before entering the ministry. Bill was ordained in 1983 in his home church in Lenoir City, Tenn.

Sharon, Bill's wife, has a degree in elementary education and is currently teaching 2nd grade in Plano Independent School District. They have one adult son living in Tennessee.
