Parent/Child Dedication
On Mother’s Day, FBCR demonstrated their commitment to partner with parents. It was wonderful to see ten children dedicated to the Lord in the Parent/Child Dedication ceremony. Our church committed to love, support and encourage these families as they begin their faith training. Each family was given a new Bible as a foundation for their instruction. Deuteronomy 6:6-7 says, “These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” We pray that these families will impress the hearts of their children and that they will one day know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Why the Garage Sale?
Because we charge fees for student participation in Student Ministry Events, in 1986, we held our first garage sale to assist our students with scholarships related to these events. Therefore, the garage sale has three goals: (1) To benefit our Students (grades 9-12) and Adult Sponsors as they volunteer to receive scholarship credit for various Student Ministry events. (2) To Share a positive Christ-like attitude and witness to those who shop our sale. (3) To allow our church members to serve our students with hours of service to provide scholarship funds.

Welcome to First Baptist Richardson. We are excited you stopped by our website. Our church is ultimately about making disciples of Jesus Christ by connecting people to a small community of fellow Christians who learn from the Word of God, engage in the worship of God and serve the mission of God.
